Description: India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhai Patel gave us Ek Bharat. Now it is our turn to make it Shreshta Bharat.
The initiative ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ was announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 31st October 2015. Through this innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions, and practices of different States & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the States, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
A gathering of over 700 individuals, which included the Students, Teachers and Principal of St. Columba's School Senior Wing, along with Students & Teachers from different Schools of Delhi-NCR, took the pledge to reinforce national integration within our country, while celebrating rich diversity.
All pledged to unite with other citizens to conserve water every day, to refuse single use plastic as much as possible and to reduce the use of plastic packaging.
