Description:
A handwriting competition was organized for Class 1 and Class 2 students on January 29, 2025, at the Junior School, to encourage young learners to develop legible and good handwriting habits. Neat handwriting is an essential skill that enhances a child's ability to write clearly and confidently. The event, held in collaboration with Hindustan Pencils, promoted the importance of sustainability.
As part of the competition, students carefully copied a paragraph from a story, helping them practice precision and letter formation. To make the experience more engaging, they watched an informative video on how pencils are manufactured. Additionally, a short demonstration was conducted to teach the boys the correct way to hold a pencil for better grip and control.
Emphasizing environmental responsibility, each participant contributed to a recycling initiative by submitting a used pencil stub. In return, they received a brand-new pencil, reinforcing the importance of sustainability and mindful resource usage.
Twelve students were recognized for their exceptional handwriting skills and rewarded for their efforts, making the event both a fun and meaningful learning experience.
