On
19th March 2026, special educators from Enrichment centre helped the
middle Section staff members revisit Prashast checklist to facilitate early
identification of Children with Special Needs.
The
discussion focussed on various deficits a child may face, identification of his
needs in a classroom situation and the support that can be extended to support
him. Case studies were taken up for better understanding of the various
disabilities. An effort was made to revisit the protocols to be followed in a
classroom by teachers while teaching CWSN. The exam support extended at school
as well as Board Exam level was also discussed in detail. The process of
executing the Prashast checklist was revisited by the special educators
highlighting the need to complete it at the earliest. Some success stories of
CWSN under our care were also discussed.
Emphasis
was laid on the need to come together as a team to support all children under
our care.
