Description:

The  PRAHARI Club of St. Columba's School conducted a special morning assembly on 29 July 2026 to spread awareness about drug and substance abuse under the CBSE initiative in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)

The assembly commenced with Ashish Suri, who introduced the PRAHARI Club, explained the meaning of the term PRAHARI—a vigilant guardian—and highlighted the club's objectives of promoting awareness, informed decision-making, and a drug-free lifestyle. The subsequent speakers educated students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse, the importance of prevention, peer support, and responsible choices.

The assembly concluded with the PRAHARI Anti-Drug Pledge, which was led by Pranabesh Maity. Students and staff collectively pledged to stay away from drugs and substance abuse, spread awareness, and contribute towards building a safe, healthy, and drug-free society.

The programme served as a meaningful initiative towards fostering awareness and reinforcing the school's commitment to the vision of a Drug-Free India.
