Description:

“Even if you're little, you can do a lot; you mustn't let a little thing like 'little' stop you.”

These inspiring words perfectly capture the spirit of our young performers, who proved through Tunes and Tales that age is no barrier to creativity, confidence, or excellence.

On the much-awaited days of 16th and 17th October, a grand musical consortium unfolded, showcasing a vibrant display of talent, imagination, and teamwork. The event seamlessly combined storytelling, music, and movement—highlighting our students at their finest as they took to the stage with enthusiasm, confidence, and skill.

The event began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp, and a prayer dedicated to Blessed Edmund Rice, invoking blessings for the success of the show. Esteemed guests in attendance included Br. Agnelo from the management, Br. Steve, Mrs. Aparajita Pal (Headmistress), Mr. Naresh Chopra (Headmaster, Senior School), and Mrs. Kaushal (Headmistress, Junior Wing), whose presence added grace and encouragement to the occasion.

The morning of the 16th opened with Matilda, presented by the spirited students of Grades IV and V. Their portrayal of the witty and courageous young Matilda brought smiles and admiration from the audience. From expressive dialogues to lively songs and energetic dances, every scene reflected the students’ dedication and the teachers’ tireless guidance. The musical’s theme of intelligence, imagination, and resilience resonated deeply with everyone present.

The excitement carried on as the talented students of Grades VI and VII graced the stage on 17th October with their enchanting rendition of My Fair Lady.”. With its delightful blend of humour, music, and elegance, this timeless classic was beautifully brought to life. The enchanting performances, graceful choreography, and confident acting left the audience thoroughly impressed. The dances were a visual treat—dynamic, synchronized, and brimming with youthful energy.

Throughout the event, the seamless coordination, vivid costumes, and meticulous preparation reflected weeks of teamwork and creativity. The applause that filled the auditorium spoke volumes about the students’ hard work and the joy of artistic expression.

As the performances drew to a close, Br. Agnelo  addressed the audience, praised the students for their enthusiasm and commitment, emphasizing how such performances nurture both creativity and character. Following him, Mrs. Aparajita Pal, commended the students on their magnificent performance and highlighted the valuable lessons gained through such enriching experiences.

The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the coordinator, appreciating the relentless efforts of the teachers, support staff, and parents in making the event a resounding success. Special appreciation was extended to the **in-charges of the event— Ms. Sisha Lawrence, Ms Faye Gordon, Ms. Preeti Joseph, and Ms. Amyra Dhingra—**for their vision, guidance, and unwavering dedication in bringing Tunes and Tales to life.

Bringing Tunes and Tales to a heartfelt close, we celebrate the magic of music and drama that has inspired and united us all.
