Description:
“You win when you drive safe.”
On the 22nd and 23rd of January 2025, the boys of Classes 1 and 2 at St. Columba’s Junior School participated in an engaging Road Safety Workshop, organized by ASSOCHAM supported by BMW. This initiative aimed to promote the importance of safe and responsible driving habits through interactive and practical learning sessions. As part of BMW’s ongoing campaign to raise awareness about road safety, the workshop offered young learners an exciting opportunity to grasp essential road and traffic rules in an immersive and enjoyable way.
The program began with pre-test worksheets and classroom discussions where students learned about safe and unsafe road habits, identified common road signs, and participated in lively sessions supported by a PowerPoint presentation. The highlight of the workshop was a traffic park simulation set up in the school’s basketball court, where students navigated roadways on child-friendly, battery-powered bikes and cars. They practiced stopping at red lights, reading road signs, and ensuring pedestrian safety.
At the conclusion of the workshop, students received certificates and badges as reminders to stay smart and safe on the road. The event left a lasting impact on the young participants, equipping them with valuable road safety habits.
