St. Columba’s School supports inclusion. With this ethos, a session was conducted on 15 March 2024 in the Middle School Auditorium by Mrs G. Pereira and Mrs G. Sehgal to revisit Prashast – a disability screening checklist.
The session started with the discussion of RPWD act, the 21 disabilities that are covered under it and the importance of early identification and intervention. Discussion of symptoms and support for Specific Learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hearing and visual impairment was done in detail. Modalities related to live documents for consolidation of student data were discussed. Teachers conducting the session addressed the doubts and concerns of all staff members.
