Description:
Donation Drive for Robin Hood Army - Junior School
Date- 21st August 2024
At St. Columba's Junior School, we strive to instill in our students the core values of sharing and caring as part of their holistic development. In an effort to sensitize our young learners to the needs of the marginalized, a donation drive was conducted over two weeks in August 2024 in the Junior School. This initiative was designed to encourage students to contribute meaningfully to society, supporting the Robin Hood Army's mission to serve 2.5 million meals this year.
The students and parents responded with great enthusiasm, bringing in dry items and non-perishables such as rice, flour, pulses, and more. These donations will directly assist in providing meals and essential supplies to those in need. The entire collection was handed over to officials from the Robin Hood Army on 21st August 2024.
By participating in this drive, students not only learned the importance of giving but also imbibed the value of doing our part for the needy, following the teachings of our Blessed Founder, Edmund Rice. This initiative truly highlighted our school’s commitment to nurturing compassionate and socially responsible children.
