A
thought-provoking assembly on “Read Before You Eat: The Truth Behind the
Labels” was presented by the students of 12-E to raise awareness about
misleading food advertisements, hidden ingredients, and unhealthy eating
habits.
The
students explored how attractive packaging, catchy slogans, celebrity
endorsements, and health claims can influence our food choices. The assembly
highlighted the importance of being mindful of excessive consumption of sugary
drinks, ultra-processed foods, instant meals, and other products that may
appear healthier than they actually are.
The
class also introduced the powerful 10 Golden Rules to further strengthen the
message and to avoid falling into unhealthy eating habits and being misled by
food marketing.
The
assembly was concluded with a strong reminder that healthy living begins with
conscious choices. It encouraged students to become informed consumers,
question marketing claims, and understand that moderation, balance, and
awareness are essential for a healthier lifestyle.
