Food Collection Drive by Middle School in Collaboration with Robinhood Army
From 23rd August 2024 to 6th September 2024, the middle school, in collaboration with the Robinhood Army, organized a two week-long Food Collection Drive, for students from Classes 4 to 10. The initiative aimed to support underprivileged communities by collecting non-perishable food items, instilling values of empathy, generosity, and social responsibility among the students.
Throughout the week, students were encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items, such as rice, pulses and flour. Teachers, along with the social justice animators, actively inspired and motivated students to contribute wholeheartedly. By the end of the drive, a significant quantity of food amounting to 1,100 kilograms was collected, showcasing the students' commitment. The donation was handed over to Robinhood Army volunteers on
10th September 2024. This overwhelming response not only provided vital support to families in need but also gave students a valuable opportunity to develop a deeper sense of civic responsibility.
Through this drive, students learned the importance of giving and embraced the value of serving others, following the teachings of our Blessed Founder, Edmund Rice. This initiative reflected the school’s dedication to cultivating compassionate, socially conscious students who strive to make a meaningful difference.
