In an age where environmental concerns
demand immediate reflection and action, the climate meet From Pollution to
Solution offered a meaningful platform for the students of the Middle Wing of
St. Columba’s School to engage in dialogue, build awareness, and take
responsibility towards the environment. The meet was held at the YMCA Centre on
15th January 2026.
The school was represented by Riyansh
Guglani, Samyak Shrestha, Saatvik Chhibber, Adhiraj Singh Chauhan, Arsh
Khanagwal, and Chinmuanlal Guite, accompanied by Mrs. Vinita Watson. Conducted
by Chintan, the workshop was interactive in nature and encouraged students to
actively engage with issues related to environmental protection and pollution
control.
Along with the two Vice Head Boys of the
Middle School and Youth Ambassador student representatives, the participants
took part in discussions on real-life environmental challenges, including
practices such as lighting fires with dry leaves for warmth. Emphasis was laid
on sustainable alternatives, spreading awareness at the community level, and
urging authorities to take timely action.
Students were guided on reporting
environmental concerns and introduced to digital platforms such as the Green
Delhi App and the CPCB website. Interactive, situation-based activities
followed, where students outlined practical steps to resolve environmental
issues, fostering critical thinking and responsible citizenship.
The students of St. Columba’s School
contributed thoughtful insights and collectively pledged to work towards
safeguarding the environment. The meet concluded on a reflective note, with
participants receiving cupcakes carrying the message “Help Me Breathe”—a simple
yet powerful reminder of the shared responsibility to protect our planet.
