Description:
On 26th July a Special Assembly was held on the intercom. We were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Kargil Diwas. Pranad, Ashish Suri, Shubh. Tejas, Harshveer and Atharva presented a talk on the topic. The boys, in their speech enlightened the students with the main events of the Kargil War and the sacrifices made by the Armed forces.
Kargil Diwas is observed annually, to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999. The Kargil War, is also known as Operation Vijay. Twenty-five years ago, in the treacherous heights of the Kargil sector, our soldiers faced one of the most challenging and arduous battles in the history of our nation.
Kargil Diwas is more than a day of remembrance; it is a celebration of the spirit of bravery and sacrifice that defines the Indian Armed Forces. It serves as a reminder of the challenges faced and overcome by the nation in times of crisis. As India continues to evolve and progress, the lessons of Kargil remain relevant, underscoring the importance of preparedness, unity, and resilience in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.
The Special Assembly ended with a patriotic song Ai vatan mere vatan……sung by, Vangao, Abel John, Derrick, Dilli, Jeffrey, Ronell and Aaron. They sang the patriotic song and mesmerized the listeners. It was an Assembly which would motivate the boys to aspire for unity, strength, and dedication to our great nation. - Manju Singh Rawat
