Janamashtami Assembly
On the auspicious occasion of Janamashtami, the Middle School held a special assembly on the 23rd of August, filled with devotion, knowledge, and cultural significance. The assembly, conducted over the intercom, was a beautiful tribute to Lord Krishna, celebrating his teachings, life, and legacy.
The assembly began with an introduction that reflected on the divine teachings of Lord Krishna as depicted in the Bhagavad Gita. The assembly emphasised on the timeless relevance of Krishna's words and reminded the students of the importance of righteousness and dharma in today’s world.
The students narrated the poignant story of Lord Krishna's 'mahaprasthan' or departure from the mortal world that captivated the listeners. The story recounted how Krishna, after the Kurukshetra war, guided the Pandavas and foresaw the decline of the Yadu dynasty due to internal conflicts.
The assembly concluded with a soulful rendition of the bhajan "Achyutam Keshavam" by the entire team, celebrating the divine qualities and forms of Lord Krishna. The harmonious voices filled the school with a sense of devotion and unity, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
The Janamashtami assembly was a profound and enriching experience, bringing the teachings of Lord Krishna to life and leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of the students. The assembly was prepared by Ms. Natasha Banerjee and her students, who worked tirelessly to make the assembly a memorable celebration of faith and spirituality.
