Description:

An educational trip was organized by the Middle Section on Friday, 16 January 2026, for students of Classes IV to IX. The venues were chosen according to the age and grade level of the students, giving them an opportunity to explore, observe, and learn through real-life experiences.

Objectives of the Trip

·           To link classroom learning with real-world applications

·       To encourage observation, inquiry and curiosity along with teamwork, discipline   and social skills

·     To develop a sense of responsibility towards preserving natural and cultural heritage.

Details of the Visit and Learning Outcomes

Class 4; Waste to Wonder Park and Lodhi Garden (“Learning sustainability can be creative, inspiring, and fun”.)

At Waste to Wonder Park, students explored impressive replicas of world monuments created from industrial waste, learning the importance of recycling and sustainable living.

Class 5; Gandhi Smriti and Nehru Park (“History teaches us values, and nature teaches us peace.”)

At Gandhi Smriti, students learned about Mahatma Gandhi’s life, values of truth, non-violence, and simplicity through exhibits and preserved spaces.

Class 6; Airforce Museum and Nehru Park. (“Courage, discipline, and service keep our nation flying high.”)

Students observed various aircraft, helicopters, uniforms, and war memorabilia displayed at the museum. The exhibits helped them in understanding the role of the Air Force in safeguarding our nation and its blue sky.

Class 7; Nehru Planetarium and Nehru Park (“The sky is not the limit when curiosity takes flight.”)

Through an engaging sky show and interactive exhibits, students learned about planets, stars, constellations, and space exploration. The visual experience sparked curiosity about the infinite universe and its mysteries.

Class 8; Prime Minister’s Museum and Nehru Park (“Understanding our leaders helps us understand our nation.”)

Through interactive exhibits, photographs, and multimedia displays, students learned about leadership, democratic values, governance, and the challenges faced by the nation at different stages of history.

Class 9; Humayun’s Tomb and Sunder Nursery (“The past teaches us history, and nature teaches us harmony.”)

At Humayun’s Tomb, students learned about Mughal architecture, history, and cultural heritage whereas the visit to Sunder Nursery introduced them to biodiversity and the importance of green spaces in urban areas.

The educational trip was highly successful as it achieved its objectives of holistic development, and enriched the students’ learning experience, beyond the classrooms.
