Description:

On 10th February 2026, the Junior School organised a meaningful and enriching educational trip for students from KG to Class 3, offering them a valuable opportunity to step beyond classroom walls and experience learning in real-life settings. Carefully planned and guided by teachers, the outing aimed to nurture curiosity, discipline, social responsibility, and a spirit of exploration among young learners.

The Kindergarten students visited Sunder Nursery, where they discovered the beauty of flowers, plants, and tiny creatures in nature. Touching petals, observing bees, and walking along green pathways helped them develop a love for the outdoors while strengthening their observation and social skills.

For the students of Class 1, the visit to Nehru Park and the National War Memorial proved to be both educational and inspiring. While enjoying the open green spaces, they practised discipline, played together, and learned the importance of keeping public places clean. At the War Memorial, they gained an understanding of the sacrifices of brave soldiers, which filled them with pride and respect for the nation.

The learners of Class 2 explored the historic Safdarjung Tomb, where they gained firsthand exposure to India’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. Walking through the monument and gardens encouraged them to ask questions, observe details closely, and connect textbook knowledge with real-life experiences, thereby strengthening their enquiry and thinking skills.

Meanwhile, the students of Class 3 visited Lodhi Garden, a perfect blend of history and nature. As they explored ancient structures, admired greenery, and observed birds, they developed a deeper understanding of conservation and environmental responsibility.

The Educational Trips across all classes beautifully blended learning with enjoyment, encouraging children to observe, enquire, and connect classroom lessons with real-life experiences. The outing enriched the young Columbans with confidence, awareness, and cherished memories, proving that learning becomes truly meaningful when it extends beyond the classroom.
