The students of Class 2 presented their much-awaited annual show, Whimsical Wonderland, on 23rd October 2026, transporting the audience into a world of imagination, adventure and timeless stories. The programme was graced by our esteemed Principal, Br. Robert; Senior Wing Section Head, Mr. Naresh Chopra; and Junior Wing Headmistress, Mrs. Ritu Kaushal.

Adding a distinctive touch to the presentation, two MCs took on the roles of the Wizard, Keeper of Stories, and a curious boy, and guided the audience through the programme. Their lively exchanges connected the three tales, creating a seamless narrative that kept the audience intrigued.

The first performance, presented by Class 2E, brought the classic tale of ‘Hansel and Gretel’ to life through expressive acting, colourful costumes and lively stage movements. Beyond its captivating presentation, the story highlighted the values of courage, love and the importance of family.

Classes 2A, 2B and 2D then presented ‘Alex in Wonderland’ in three engaging parts, filled with whimsical characters, humorous encounters and imaginative situations. Through Alex’s adventures, the young performers conveyed a meaningful message about embracing individuality and having the confidence to be oneself.

The show concluded with Class 2C’s presentation of ‘Aladdin’, which celebrated kindness, friendship and the goodness of the human heart. The story reminded the audience that true worth lies not in wealth or status, but in the choices we make and the kindness we show towards others.

The young performers captivated the audience with their confidence, dialogue delivery, expressive acting and stage presence. Their coordination, teamwork and enthusiasm reflected the dedication and preparation that had gone into bringing each story to life. The performances were interspersed with musical presentations by our Western Music teacher, Mr. Vernan, adding rhythm and vibrancy to the programme.

The judges, Mrs. Mary James of the Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi, and Mrs. Charu Garg, Senior Wing Coordinator at St. Columba’s School, lauded the imaginative presentation, the children’s lively interpretations of their characters and the seamless coordination evident throughout the performances.

In his address, our respected Principal Br. Robert commended the efforts of both the students and their teachers, appreciating the hard work, guidance and preparation behind the production. He highlighted how the stage had truly come alive through the performances of the young artists. Mrs. Ritu Kaushal delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of everyone who had contributed to the programme. She warmly celebrated the children as the true heroes of the show and expressed appreciation for the teachers and all those whose support had made the event possible.

‘Whimsical Wonderland’ was a memorable celebration of storytelling, creativity and young talent, leaving the audience with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the valuable lessons that stories impart.
