Description:
The much-awaited Columbix 2024-25, Annual Middle School Sports Day, held on 7th December 2024, was an exciting and energetic event that showcased the spirit of sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and discipline. The event brought together students from all five houses—Br. Crease (Red), Br. Leonard (Blue), Br. McKeogh (Green), Br. Morrow (Yellow), and Br. Steinmeyer (Beige)—who participated in various activities, including the marchpast, yoga drill, bhangra drill, and athletic events.
- Opening Ceremony:
The event commenced with a vibrant opening ceremony, attended by several distinguished figures from the school. Our Principal, Br. Robert, the Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal, Middle School Headmistress, Mrs. Pal, and the Chief Guest, Br. William, graced the occasion. Mrs. Pal presented the Guard of Honor, which was followed by an inspiring speech from Br. Robert, who emphasized the importance of sports in fostering leadership, discipline, and teamwork. His words set the tone for the day, encouraging students to participate with enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
- Marchpast:
The first event of the day was the grand march past, a tradition that highlighted the discipline and coordination of the participating houses. Led by Head Boy Aaron Adrian and Sports Captain Hariaksh Maggo, the march past was a spectacular display of precision and unity. The House Captains added grandeur to the procession, representing their respective houses with pride and enthusiasm.
- Yoga Drill and Bhangra Drill:
The students also participated in a beautifully coordinated yoga drill, showcasing flexibility and mindfulness. The bhangra drill, an energetic and lively display, added to the cultural vibrancy of the event. Both drills received enthusiastic applause from the spectators.
- Athletic Events:
The athletic events formed the core of the day’s activities, with students competing in various track and field events such as sprints, relay races, long jump, and shot put. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as the athletes displayed their best performances.
- Award Ceremony:
As the day drew to a close, the much-awaited award ceremony took place. The winners were celebrated for their achievements and contributions to their houses' success. The awards included:
● Best Marching House: Br. Leonard (Blue)
● Best Tug-of-War House: Br. Crease (Red)
● Best House for 2024-25: Br. Leonard (Blue) – This house took home both rolling trophies, a remarkable achievement for their overall performance.

Columbix 2024-25 was a resounding success, with students displaying remarkable sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork.
