Description:

"Success is not measured by winning alone, but by the courage, effort, and spirit shown on the field."

The Junior School Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation on 6th February 2026. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Br. Joaquim Johnson, along with our respected Principal, Br. Robert Fernandes, Br. Agnelo Benjamin, Br. Cedric Andrade, Mr. Naresh Chopra, and Mrs. Ritu Kaushal.

The inaugural ceremony featured an impressive band performance by the Air Force Band, followed by a disciplined march past by students of Classes 1, 2, and 3. The torch relay and oath ceremony highlighted the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and fair play. The celebratory atmosphere was further enhanced by a melodious welcome song and a graceful inaugural dance. The enthusiastic presence of parents added to the grandeur of the occasion as they warmly encouraged and appreciated the young participants.

The sporting events began with the KG drill, setting an energetic tone for the day, followed by 50-metre and 75-metre flat races across various classes. The drill performances were exceptionally well-coordinated and received wide appreciation from the audience. Class 3C presented an impressive Wand Drill, while Class 3A showcased an energetic Bottle Drill. Class 1 students performed a Yoga Drill and Freestyle Dance Drill, displaying flexibility and creativity. Class 2 students demonstrated discipline and teamwork through a synchronized PT Drill. Prize distribution was held after each set of events.

A variety of fun skill races ensured active participation and enjoyment for all. KG students delighted the audience with the Leap and Loop Race and Bunny & Carrot Race. Class 1 students enthusiastically participated in the Beads Sprint Race and Zigzag Ring Run, displaying agility and coordination. Class 2 students impressed with the Frog Relay and Hoppy Bucket Race, highlighting teamwork and balance, while Class 3 students showcased remarkable energy and agility in the Zigzag Express and Shooting Star Race.

The Hurdle Race witnessed enthusiastic participation, and medals were awarded for the 100-metre race, 200-metre race, and Ball Throw competition. The programme gained further momentum with energetic Zumba performances by students of Classes 3E, 3B, and 3D. Special attractions such as the Helpers’ 75-Metre Race, Teachers’ Bean Bag Race, Tug of War events between KG mothers and Class 1 mothers and Class 2 fathers and Class 3 fathers, and a lively Zumba performance by students’ mothers added warmth and excitement, making the celebration truly memorable.

The event concluded with the final prize distribution, followed by an inspiring address by Br. Robert, who appreciated the students’ dedication and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in both sports and life. Mrs. Ritu Kaushal then presented the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts of students, teachers, parents, and staff in making the event a remarkable success.

The Junior School Sports Day was a grand success, leaving behind cherished memories and reinforcing the values of unity, discipline, perseverance, and sporting excellence among students, parents, and staff.
