Description: It was a fun-filled and adventurous day for the students of Class 1 on 8th February 2023 as they set out to visit Sunder Nursery. This beautiful and lush green 16th-century heritage park is located adjacent to the Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi. The purpose of this trip was to give the children a practical understanding of the different types of plants and trees and create awareness about their significance in our lives. Sunder Nursery is a popular destination for educational trips and the campus contains fifteen heritage monuments and tombs. The well-maintained historical structures and murals offer deep insight into Indian history. There are plenty of designated shady lakeside spots, nurtured beds of pansies and chrysanthemums, beautiful rose gardens, and kids' play area, etc. It’s surely a garden of delight as it boasts of a variety of distinguished species of trees that are home to beautiful birds. The educational trip to Sunder Nursery was an enriching experience for the students. They had the opportunity to learn about the flora of the park and the history of the place. The trip also provided an excellent opportunity for the students to connect with nature and understand the importance of the conservation of trees. Overall, the trip was a great success, and the students returned with a greater appreciation for nature and its beauty.
