Class 3 - Educational Trip to Rashtrapati Bhawan
Date- 7th February, 2025
The former U.S. President Barack Obama once said, “This extraordinary building is a testament to India’s proud history and its bright future. It is an honour to visit.” These words perfectly captured the enthusiasm of the Class 3 students as they had the unique privilege of visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan on February 7, 2025. Accompanied by their class teachers, the children eagerly anticipated their visit to one of the largest and most significant presidential residences in the world.
Upon arrival, the students were awestruck by the sheer grandeur and architectural splendour of Rashtrapati Bhawan. The boys then had the wonderful opportunity of having a guided tour providing insightful information about the various rooms and halls, elaborating on their historical and cultural significance of the President’s House.
The children were particularly fascinated by the Durbar Hall, the Ashok Hall, the Central Dome, and the Banquet Hall, all beautifully adorned with paintings and artifacts. They listened attentively as the guide explained that Rashtrapati Bhawan is not just the residence of the President of India but also serves as the venue for official functions, including the swearing-in ceremonies of leaders, defence investiture events, and national celebrations.
To conclude the tour, the guide conducted a short quiz, testing the students on the knowledge they had gained during their visit. The children participated excitedly, demonstrating their keen interest and curiosity.
After the educational tour, the students spent a delightful time at Talkatora Garden, where they shared their treats and played together, making wonderful memories. The trip was a perfect blend of learning and enjoyment, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation of India’s rich history and governance. The trip was a memorable success, leaving a lasting impression that will be treasured by the students for days to come.
