Description:
On 29th September, in Middle School, Gandhi, Jayanti Assembly was conducted. Hariaksh Maggo of class 9B opened the event with an introduction to Gandhiji’s life. Notably, to quote from his speech “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” Remains as a clarion call, urging us to internalise the values we wish to witness around us, and to actively contribute towards the transformation we envision.”
Samrat Sharma of class 9B then recited a poem on the life of Gandhiji. Other students of class 9B then sang melodiously the famous bhajan, Vaishno Jan.
Aaron Roy and three other boys of class 6C introduced & explained about the three monkeys Gandhiji used to talk about. These names were Japanese and were from the Shinto dynasty, Mijaru, Kikajaru & Ivajaru, and their meanings were a revelation to the entire audience.
As October 2nd coincides with the birth anniversary of our respected former Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri, a class 7D student shared the various aspects of Shastriji and reminded the audience of the famous slogan, ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ that Shastriji espoused.
Our Principal, Bro Robert congratulated the student speakers for their initiative and speaking skills and motivated all the students to follow Gandhiji teachings like Swachta, Non-Violence and other principles that Gandhiji was so passionate about, in their daily lives.
The programme was immensely successful with enthusiastic participation from the students. It ended with our National Anthem.
