Description: Classes 1, 2, and 3-Junior School Dates-9th to 16th May 2024 The ‘Spellathon’ is an engaging and educational event designed to enhance the spelling abilities and vocabulary of young learners. By participating in the Spellathon, students from Classes 1 to 3 can improve their language proficiency, gain confidence in their abilities, and develop a love for words and learning. In line with our focus on developing collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking, a Spellathon quiz was organized for Classes 1 to 3 from 9th to 16th May 2024. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers. The competition rules and regulations were outlined at the beginning of the event. The students were excited and ready for the challenge. Each section was divided into five teams, ensuring full participation, with every student involved in the competition. The event was hosted by the Coordinators, Mrs. Anjali Sharma and Mrs. Vandana Mehrotra, who took on the roles of Quizmaster and Scorekeeper. For Class 1, the intra-class spelling competition allowed each student to enhance their vocabulary through writing, speaking, and identifying the correct options. Students were infused with a passion for learning new words and spelling them correctly. For Classes 2 and 3, the competition was divided into various categories, including jumbled spellings, general knowledge, current affairs, SDGs, and questions on our Founder, Blessed Edmund Rice. The boys competed in all the rounds, answering questions that required out-of-the-box thinking. The Spellathon Quiz culminated on a positive note with our respected Principal, Br. Robert and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal appreciating and applauding the students for their active participation. This event was a valuable learning experience that encouraged teamwork and honed the logical reasoning, critical thinking, and spelling skills of our young learners.
