This quote emphasizes the profound influence teachers have in shaping the future through education.
On 5th September 2024, our school celebrated Teachers' Day with a heartwarming event that overflowed with gratitude and respect for our dedicated educators. The students came forward to honour teachers' invaluable role in shaping lives. The programme began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, led by our respected Principal, Br Robert, and the Section Heads, setting a reverent tone for the day.
The cultural performances that followed were the highlight of the celebration. Students enthusiastically showcased their gratitude and appreciation towards their mentors through a variety of performances, including rhyme and rhythm, soulful singing, poems, mime, skits, beatboxing, ‘Dohas’, and dances. Each act by the students conveyed heartfelt admiration for the teachers, making it truly memorable.
A proud moment of the day was the felicitation ceremony, which honoured Mr. Bhaskar Dutt, Mrs. Namrata Menezes and Mrs. Pooja Guglani, for having completed 25 years of dedicated service at St. Columba’s. The celebration concluded with a moving gratitude video, capturing the students' deep respect and appreciation for their teachers. All in all, the celebration was a heartfelt acknowledgement of the contribution of teachers in guiding and inspiring the next generation.
