St. Columba’s School held its fifth Climate Meet on 4th February at the Edmund Rice Hall, with enthusiastic participation from ten schools across Delhi. The theme, “Waste, Climate, and Care for Creation,” set the tone for a meaningful and action-oriented gathering. The programme began with a reverent lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising hope and responsibility towards our planet.
The Climate Meet was born in 2021 during the COVID lockdown, grounded in the belief that students are strong change makers. This fifth edition proved to be a fruitful session, nurturing awareness and collective responsibility. Chintan and the Swachh Organisation guided students through two insightful input sessions. This was followed by four parallel workshops on composting, a biodiversity walk, creative reuse of plastic waste, and plantation that inspired the participants to adopt practical steps towards sustainability and responsible waste segregation.
The meet successfully inspired young minds to become environmental stewards and make a positive impact in their communities.
