Description: “The scientist is not a person who gives the right answer; he is the one who gives the right questions.” - Claude Levi – Strauss :- At St. Columba’s Junior School, it’s our persistent endeavour to create experiences for our students to develop scientific thinking and a desire to learn new things. We work hard to fuel the curiosity among our students to ask questions and gain understanding of new facts. As part of these efforts, the Science and Mathematics Exhibition was organised by Class 2 students on 16th December 2022 in the Junior Wing Hall. There were a variety of interesting projects, experiments, Science and Math activities which helped the children to explore, discover, understand and unravel various scientific phenomenon. The students were trained well and presented their projects with great confidence and understanding. They were quite enthusiastic to not only explain their projects but also to address the queries posed by the the parents and visitors. Various models and experiments were displayed by each section of Class 2 in a unique way. The exhibits were displayed beautifully and the area assigned was decorated aptly. The programme started with the inauguration ceremony by our respected Principal Brother Robert Fernandes. There was a short prelude presentation staged as an enactment by the so called ‘MAD SCIENTIST’ followed by a beautiful dance performance which culminated with a melodious song. The exhibits of sections A, B and C were displayed in the hall and for sections D and E in the Library and Math lab respectively. There were 10 projects and 5 experiments displayed by each section. The event was graced by Mr. Naresh Chopra, Mrs. Aparajita Pal and Mrs. Ritu Kaushal – the section heads of the three wings. They were all praises for a little scientists. The event was a great success because of the parents’ enthusiastic participation and support.
