‘Meditation relaxes and rejuvenates not just the body but also stills the mind.’ With this aim in mind, a workshop was organised on the 9th of May 2025, for the teachers of the middle wing highlighting the importance of Yoga and breathing techniques.The aim of the session was to create awareness about personal well being and to encourage the educators to adopt a healthy lifestyle through the right breathing exercises.
Yoga expert Swami Satyananda Hari Ji from the Rishi Chaitanya Ashram was the guest speaker who guided the educators in using the right breathing techniques.He also stressed on the significance of right postures. He mentioned that the youngsters should be encouraged to sit upright to improve the quality of their work.Highlighting the importance of yoga especially for the students,he talked about the importance of posture and active lifestyle.While elaborating breathing techniques he talked about establishing a connection with the self and incorporating yoga as part of our daily life.A few breathing exercises were practised by all the participants.
The session was a reminder that the right breathwork provides physical and mental relaxation and helps to alleviate stress and anxiety.
