Timothy 5:1–2: "Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as
you would a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger
women as sisters, in all purity."
On
the morning of 28th July 2026, the students of Class 2B presented a meaningful
and inspiring assembly on the topic ‘Respect Your Elders – The Tree of Wisdom’.
The
assembly began with a moving prayer, followed by a reading from the Holy Bible
that highlighted the value of honouring and respecting elders. The students
then presented an engaging skit, ‘The Tree of Wisdom’, which illustrated how
the guidance and experience of elders help children grow into kind,
responsible, and wise individuals. The performance carried a powerful message
that elders are like the roots of a tree, providing strength, support, and
direction in life.
Filling
the stage with energy, the children sang and danced with confidence and
enthusiasm, captivating the audience with their heartfelt expressions. Their
cheerful performances reflected the spirit of gratitude and respect, making the
message even more meaningful.
The
assembly concluded with a pledge by the students to respect their parents,
grandparents, teachers, and all elders by speaking kindly, listening
attentively, and showing thankfulness every day. Words of encouragement from
our honourable Principal, Br. Robert, and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs.
Kaushal, further reinforced the importance of practising these values in
everyday life.
The
assembly was a wonderful celebration of love and gratitude, leaving everyone
with a valuable reminder that honouring our elders helps us grow into
compassionate and responsible individuals.
