On the 6th of August, the students of the Environment Awareness and Disaster Management Society from the Senior School participated in a plantation drive hosted by the renowned NGO, iamgurgaon, at Aravali Creek 1. This initiative aimed to contribute to the reforestation efforts and enhance the green cover of the area.
A total of 15 students, accompanied by two dedicated teachers, Ramakant Sir and Narendra Sir, took part in this noble cause. The enthusiasm and commitment of the participants were evident as they worked diligently to plant a total of 52 saplings in the creek.
The event was not only a step towards environmental conservation but also an educational experience for the students. They learned about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and the role of community participation in environmental sustainability.
The plantation drive was a resounding success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the students, teachers, and the NGO. It served as a reminder of the positive impact that collective action can have on our environment. The students returned with a sense of accomplishment and a renewed commitment to continue their efforts in making the world a greener place.
