Description:

Overview

The morning assembly on 12th August 2026 centered on an inspiring theme: young people don't need titles or positions to lead—they need influence, character, and courage.

Key Message

Leadership isn't waiting for tomorrow or the perfect role. It's what students do right now, with what they have, where they are.

Core Points Presented

Three Sources of Student Leadership:

Influence in immediate circles — Friends trust and follow your example when you choose honesty, stand against bullying, and help struggling classmates.

  1. Power of daily choices — Every decision to include someone, speak up, or stay silent ripples outward in ways students may never see.
  2. Unique personal strengths — Listening, creativity, humour, athleticism, and calmness are all leadership qualities.

Historical Perspective

Students learned that 60% of significant social changes in history were started by young people under 30—including Malala Yousafzai (age 16), Greta Thunberg (age 15), and Kailash Satyarthi (in his 20s).

Call to Action

Students were challenged to lead from where they are this week by choosing ONE action:

-        Stand up against unfair treatment

-        Help a classmate with studies

-        Include someone sitting alone

-        Choose honesty over convenience

-        Encourage someone who's lost confidence

-        Start a conversation about something that matters

Closing Message

"The world doesn't need more people in positions of power. It needs more people with powerful character."

Participants: 16 student speakers and performers delivered the assembly with a prayer, poem, and powerful call to character-building leadership. - Mrs. Himani Jain
