"Switch
off the screen, step into the green and discover the beauty of the world beyond
the display."
On
the morning of 14th July 2026, the students of Class 3E presented a meaningful
assembly on the topic From Screen to Green, highlighting the
importance of reducing screen time and embracing a healthier, more active
lifestyle.
The
assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by an engaging skit that portrayed
the harmful effects of excessive screen time while encouraging children to
spend more time outdoors and connect with nature. Through their performance,
the students beautifully reflected the Edmund Rice Values of respect,
compassion, and excellence.
The
assembly also reinforced SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, inspiring everyone
to make mindful choices for a balanced life. Positive affirmations and a Child
Safety Pledge further strengthened the message of self-belief, responsibility,
and personal safety.
The
assembly concluded with words of appreciation from our respected Principal, Br.
Robert, and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal, who commended the
students for the presentation and encouraged everyone to strike a healthy
balance between technology and the natural world.
