The students of Classes 4, 5 and 6 went on an educational trip to Amritsar organised by Edutrail, to explore the historical, cultural, and educational significance of Amritsar.
We visited the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), the holiest Gurdwara of Sikhism. Students learned about the history of the temple and the Sikh religion and participated in Seva to experience the spirit of selfless service.
They also explored the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial, which commemorates the massacre of peaceful protesters. The students learned about the significance of the event in India's struggle for independence.
They attended the Beating Retreat Ceremony at the Wagah Border and witnessed the patriotic display and the lowering of the flags by Indian and Pakistani soldiers.
Students also got an opportunity to visit the Pushpa Gujral Science City at Jalandhar which helped them explore numerous aspects of science and technology.
The educational trip to Amritsar was an enriching experience for the students. It provided a deep understanding of the city's historical and cultural significance and fostered a sense of national pride and empathy for the past.
