Description: Advent is a season of preparation and waiting for the celebration of Jesus' birth on Christmas. The term advent is from the Latin translation of ‘coming’ or ‘arrival’. God's prophecies in the Old Testament prepared the way for His promise. During December, Christians take part in advent as a way to celebrate the promise of the Saviour, Jesus Christ, looking forward to His return. The students of 3B and 3C presented their Class Assembly on the theme of ADVENT on 5th December, 2022. The assembly began with an Advent Prayer and a very meaningful skit by our students where they tried to explain the true meaning of Advent. Synchronizing with the theme, the boys started the assembly by explaining the word of His “coming” by showing the Advent calendar to the students. They inspired everyone with an impactful skit where they unveiled the two paper candle scrolls of “Hope” and “Love”. This was followed by an energetic dance by the students expressing their joy with coordinated steps. The assembly gave the message of hope and how the Advent season celebrates the anticipation and coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The boys also shared the interesting and rich traditions behind the celebration of Advent like the wreath, calendars, etc. The assembly concluded with the beautiful hymn sung by everyone - “Go tell it on the mountains that Jesus Christ will be born”. Our honourable Principal, Brother Robert and Mrs Kaushal finally unveiled the two candle scrolls and lit up the candles of “Hope” and “Love”. The assembly was much appreciated and applauded by all.
