Description: School Educational trips are a self-reflective adventure for students giving them opportunities to build closer bonds with their classmates and create rich memories. An educational trip to Dalhousie was organized by the school for the students of classes 7-10 for 5 days (21st May- 26th May), a destination famous for its pristine and serene surroundings. It was a welcome change for the students as they were away from the hustle and bustle of the city ,opening a window to learn from nature. The journey began as the students gathered in school filled with excitement as they commenced their journey. After a 12 hours bus travel, they were warmly welcomed by the staff of Aamod Suites. After some rest, the day started with orientation followed by a visit to St. Francis Church and Panchpula waterfall. The long day ended on a good note with some dance and music. On the third day after having breakfast, the Diakund trek was an incredible adventure. One felt that heaven was just under our feet as well as over our heads. This high-end hill trail culminated at a temple with a picturesque view of the snow capped mountains. The adventurers of the day moved on to Khajjiar where they were given a chance to participate in activities like zip-lining, horse riding and many other group activities. The visit to NHPC on the fourth day was fruitful as children got an opportunity for experiential learning. They were given a tour of the power house and hydroelectricity generation was explained with the help of a working model. Later in the afternoon, the visit to Chamera Lake followed by Mall Road brought the day to a meaningful end. Students were also divided into teams and participated in group activities like tree plantation drive, competition based on their culinary skills, singing ,dancing etc. Overall, the trip was an incredible learning experience and the team of teachers and instructors encouraged the students to adapt and absorb the changes. It instilled a sense of responsibility, camaraderie, respect for nature and team spirit among the students.
