The
Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was held
on 13 August 2026 in the Edmund Rice Hall. This
solemn and significant occasion marked the formal induction of the newly
elected Student Council members from Classes 11 and 12, entrusting
them with the responsibility of leadership and service within the school
community. The newly appointed council comprises President Arnav Ahuja
(XII-C), Vice President Hariaksh Maggo (XII-E), and Secretary Adeesh Sharma
(XII-C), along with other council members.
The
ceremony commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising
knowledge, wisdom, and guidance, followed by a soulful prayer song presented by
the Music Society boys. The newly appointed council members were then formally
presented with their badges, signifying the trust, authority, and
responsibilities entrusted to them. The occasion also featured an address on
the roles and responsibilities of student leaders, highlighting the
importance of discipline, integrity, commitment, and exemplary conduct.
One
of the most significant moments of the ceremony was the Oath-Taking
Ceremony, led by the newly elected President, Arnav Ahuja. The council
members pledged to uphold the values and ethos of St. Columba’s School and to
discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication. The President
subsequently addressed the gathering, sharing his vision and inspiring his
fellow council members to lead with purpose, unity, and a spirit of service.
The
ceremony concluded with an inspiring address by the Senior School Headmaster,
followed by the School Anthem, bringing the proceedings to a
dignified close. The Investiture Ceremony 2026 was a proud
celebration of leadership, responsibility, and trust, reaffirming the enduring
Columban values of service, integrity, dignity, and excellence.
