Description:

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was held on 13 August 2026 in the Edmund Rice Hall. This solemn and significant occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council members from Classes 11 and 12, entrusting them with the responsibility of leadership and service within the school community. The newly appointed council comprises President Arnav Ahuja (XII-C), Vice President Hariaksh Maggo (XII-E), and Secretary Adeesh Sharma (XII-C), along with other council members.

The ceremony commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and guidance, followed by a soulful prayer song presented by the Music Society boys. The newly appointed council members were then formally presented with their badges, signifying the trust, authority, and responsibilities entrusted to them. The occasion also featured an address on the roles and responsibilities of student leaders, highlighting the importance of discipline, integrity, commitment, and exemplary conduct.

One of the most significant moments of the ceremony was the Oath-Taking Ceremony, led by the newly elected President, Arnav Ahuja. The council members pledged to uphold the values and ethos of St. Columba’s School and to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication. The President subsequently addressed the gathering, sharing his vision and inspiring his fellow council members to lead with purpose, unity, and a spirit of service.

The ceremony concluded with an inspiring address by the Senior School Headmaster, followed by the School Anthem, bringing the proceedings to a dignified close. The Investiture Ceremony 2026 was a proud celebration of leadership, responsibility, and trust, reaffirming the enduring Columban values of service, integrity, dignity, and excellence.
