At St. Columba's, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is paramount. Child protection sessions are essential for fostering a secure and supportive environment within our school community. They equip our staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to safeguard the students in their care, reinforcing a foundation of trust and security.
On 17th May 2024, Mrs Pooja Guglani, the Protection Officer of the Junior School, conducted a session on protecting children and vulnerable adults. The session included interactions and short presentations aimed at creating a protective environment for all students entrusted to our care.
Mrs. Guglani outlined the protocols and the importance of the Code of Protective Behaviour, emphasizing the need to provide protective care to the students of classes KG to 3. Teachers actively participated in the discussions, contributing valuable insights which were explored further during the session.
This enriching session highlighted the significance of protecting students and ensuring their safety on our campus. It reinforced the commitment of our staff to uphold the principle of child safety and care.
