Description:
The students of classes 6 and 7 embarked on a learning adventure for 2 days to
Jim Corbett, providing the 44 enthusiasts with a unique and refreshing
experience of nature. The tour commenced with a visit to the newly renovated
Jim Corbett Museum where they observed the vast collection of flora and fauna
and the preserved specimens of tigers and leopards. They also visited the Garjia
temple which is a famous tourist spot in this region. The evening was equally
exhilarating for them as they played games and enjoyed watching a movie on
Jim Corbett. The next day, they went for an invigorating morning birding session.
The children felt connected to nature and wildlife as they observed various
species of birds native to the foothills of the region. They also learnt about the rich
vegetation of the locality which was unique in its own way.
Their excitement knew no bounds when they went on the Safari where they were
thrown open to the unique flora and fauna of the jungle. The wildlife experience
during the Safari was exceptionally refreshing, adventurous and educational.
The leisure time in the resort helped the children mingle with each other,
experience a different environment, make new memories and enjoy a day away
from their school and homes. To sum up, the tour was altogether a wonderful
learning experience away from the humdrum of the city and their structured
curriculum. Moreover the stay in a luxurious resort made it very comfortable and
memorable for all students. – 3rd March to 5th March 2023
