“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” —
Helen Keller
The greatness of a community is
most accurately reflected in the compassionate actions of its members, and this
spirit was beautifully brought to life by the students of Class 2A in their
morning assembly on August 18, 2025, based on the theme “Building a Caring
Community.”
The assembly began with a
heartfelt prayer, seeking God’s blessings to guide and strengthen the young
learners in nurturing a compassionate and united community. The students
reminded everyone that our school is one strong community, inspired by the vision
of Blessed Edmund Rice, who dedicated his life to justice, compassion, and
service.
Through meaningful depictions of
real-life situations, the students highlighted the importance of small acts of
kindness, care, and empathy. Class 2A boys also led the audience in uplifting
affirmations, spreading the message that our school is a safe and joyful place
where every child feels valued and loved. An upbeat action song, “It’s Me Who
Builds Community,” reinforced the idea that each individual has the power and
responsibility to create a positive and caring environment.
The assembly concluded with words
of encouragement from Br. Robert and Mrs. Kaushal, who reminded the children
that true caring begins with everyday actions—sharing, showing respect,
compassion, and kindness.
The Class 2A assembly left a
lasting impression, inspiring all to contribute towards building a stronger and
more compassionate community.
