On the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej, the Middle School of St. Columba’s School organized a Special Tree Plantation Drive on 24th July 2025, as part of the green initiative led by the Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi.
The event was graced by The Principal Br. Robert Fernandes, The Headmistress Mrs. Aparajita Sharma Pal, dedicated Eco Club teachers, and our spirited Eco Champs. With valuable assistance from the school gardener, students and staff came together to plant a variety of saplings in the lush green spaces across the school campus.
More than just a planting activity, this drive symbolized the spirit of Hariyali Teej—celebrating growth, renewal, and harmony with nature. Students were provided with a meaningful, hands-on experience that deepened their understanding of environmental responsibility and emphasized the urgent need to safeguard our planet’s green heritage.
The enthusiastic participation of the entire school community made the event both inspiring and impactful. It was a powerful reminder that collective efforts, no matter how small, can contribute significantly to building a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
