The
MUN Society of St. Columba’s School organised an INTRA MUN for the students
from classes 7-12, a one of its kind programme in the school on 08 May, 2026.
This saw the participation of over 180 Columbans.
Two committees
were simulated, one being
the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and the
other being the
United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The agenda on the floor for
UNHRC was the promotion and protection of the Right to Privacy in the digital
age: addressing human rights Challenges in the Digital age and the UNGA
deliberated on the escalating
hostilities between Iran and Israel and their implications for regional
stability, Nuclear non-proliferation, and the rules-based International Order
The
aim of the sessions was to initiate eager Columbans to the world of public
speaking and enhance their research and negotiation skills.
Two
training sessions were conducted to help Columbans who were new to the world of
diplomacy.
The
committee ended successfully and the results were announced on the same day
