An educational trip to Abhaneri village was organized for the students of classes 4 and 5 for three days (3rd March-5th March 2023) to reinforce experiential and contextual learning. It was great to take the children somewhere in the village area away from the hustle and bustle of city life where they could really learn from the environment.
Children were bubbling with excitement as they commenced their journey. As we reached, we were warmly welcomed by the staff of Aagman. Excellent facilities and activities were planned for the children to complete. They remained engaged the whole day, and this was due to a carefully planned program of tasks. In the evening, we set out to visit the village farm including the biogas plant and learn about organic farming through camel cart riding which was highly informative.
Our next beautiful morning began with a village walk where children got to observe the lives of village people. The visit to Abhaneri Stepwell was the highlight as it was a hands-on experience to enrich our knowledge of the history and culture. The students participated in the adventure activities in the camp like ziplining, wall climbing, commando net, vertical and horizontal ladder, Burma bridge, etc.
To keep it engaging and entertaining, a cultural programme on the first day and DJ night on the second day were organized for the students which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The trip was a great success, as it was meticulously planned for the students to learn from nature. The fresh air, greenery, and peaceful environment provided a perfect setting for learning and relaxation.
