Description: On the 4th of May, the students of the Middle school conducted an assembly that commemorated the life and teachings of our beloved Founder, Brother Edmund Ignatius Rice. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the Christian Brothers who walked in the footsteps of our founder, working tirelessly carrying forth his legacy. During the assembly, the students discussed Brother Rice's four key teachings that he would want all students to imbibe. The first teaching was to embrace education. The students were encouraged to take advantage of the educational opportunities available to them, to work hard, and to strive for excellence in their studies. The second teaching was to serve others. The students were encouraged to use their talents and skills to make a positive impact on their communities, to be compassionate and kind to those in need, and to work towards creating a more just and equitable world. The third teaching was to have faith. Brother Rice was a man of deep faith who believed that God was at the center of everything he did. The students were encouraged to nurture their own faith and to develop a relationship with God, knowing that this would provide them with strength and guidance in all aspects of their lives. The fourth teaching was to be resilient. The students were encouraged to be resilient in the face of adversity, to never give up on their dreams, and to have the courage to keep going even when things are tough. The choir led by Mr MacDonald Samuel sang a beautiful song dedicated to the life of our Founder. Overall, the assembly was a great success, and the students left feeling inspired and empowered by Brother Rice's teachings. The assembly reminded students that they have the power to make a positive impact on the world, and that through education, service, faith, and resilience, they can achieve great things. This occasion was graced by the Principal, Br Robert, Br William Br Sameer, the Headmistress and staff of the middle School. Facilitated by: Preetika Sawhney Rajashree Vipin
