The
Junior School auditorium came alive on October 30, 2025, with a vibrant
celebration of faith and values as the Class 2 students presented their Annual
Show — Timeless Treasures: Biblical Echoes of Faith. Through music, drama,
dance, and storytelling, the young Columbans beautifully brought to life
timeless tales of obedience, courage, and compassion from the Bible.
The
event was graced by our esteemed Principal, Br. Robert, along with the Section
Heads of the Senior and Middle School. The distinguished panel of judges
included Mrs Reshma Mary Skariah, Supervisor from the Convent of Jesus and
Mary, and Mrs Jyotsna Sarpal, Teacher from the Senior Wing of St. Columba’s
School.
Each
performance beautifully reflected a virtue drawn from the Bible. The enactment
of 'Jonah and the Whale' highlighted faith and obedience, whereas 'David and
Goliath' celebrated courage, faith, and the triumph over fear. The boys evoked
themes of forgiveness and unconditional love as they presented 'The Prodigal
Son'. The poignant portrayal of 'Jesus Feeds the 5000' illustrated compassion
and the joy of sharing, while 'Noah’s Ark' reflected perseverance, trust, and
divine protection. Each story echoed a timeless value we strive for every
Columban child to imbibe.
Interwoven
between the plays were soulful spiritual hymns, performed by our talented
Western Music teacher, Mr Vernan, and Indian Music teacher, Mr Shahnawaz. Their
melodies filled the hall with praise and worship.
Addressing
the gathering, our respected Principal Br. Robert praised the students for
their spirited performances. He reflected on the enduring lessons of hope and
faith that continue to guide humanity through changing times.
The
programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Junior Wing
Headmistress, Mrs R. Kaushal, who commended the efforts of students, teachers,
and parents in making the show a resounding success.
Timeless
Treasures: Biblical Echoes of Faith was more than an annual show; it was a
celebration of stories, values, and the enduring faith that binds generations
together — a reflection of the students’ creativity, teamwork, and heartfelt
devotion.
