Description: The Labour Day School Assembly took place on May 1, 2024, on the intercom followed by a program in the Edmund Rice Hall, honoring the essential contributions of workers worldwide. The event began by acknowledging the importance of Labour Day and expressing appreciation for the dedication of workers, especially in Middle School, recognizing their efforts across various sectors. The assembly featured a prayer song, “Teri hai Zameen,” performed by students, seeking divine blessings and paying tribute to the omnipresence of God. The performance deeply moved the audience, creating a poignant atmosphere. A special ceremony was held where the Middle School workers were honored by our Principal, Br. Robert, Br.Sameer and our Head Mistress, Mrs. Aparajita Pal. They were presented with tokens of gratitude for their hard work. Additionally, the Choir Boys delivered an emotional musical performance, further celebrating the workers' dedication and hard work. The assembly concluded with a plantation drive that added more greenery to the school environment. Workers participated in planting saplings, and each sapling was marked with a nameplate to commemorate their contributions, reinforcing the school’s commitment to being a clean and green space. This Labour Day assembly not only served as a platform to recognize the invaluable efforts of workers but also emphasized the importance of labor, fostered a culture of gratitude, and encouraged respect for the labor community among students and staff. The event ended with a strong message of appreciation and a call to honor the dignity of labor in all walks of life, making the environment greener and leaving a lasting impression on the school community for the generations to come. - ( Report By- Sneha Massey)
