Topic-Earth Day

On April 19th, 2024 the students of Class 3C delivered a poignant assembly commemorating Earth Day which is celebrated worldwide on 22nd April. The assembly commenced with a tribute to our founder, Blessed Edmund Rice, whose values of compassion and care towards the marginalized deeply resonate with the essence of Earth Day.
The morning proceedings began with a prayer, expressing gratitude for the new academic year and seeking divine blessings to safeguard the planet for future generations.
The students articulated the imperative of translating vision into action for a sustainable tomorrow. They advocated for collective efforts in conserving energy, preserving water, promoting education, proper waste disposal, and volunteering for cleanliness initiatives.
A brief skit about the 'Chipko Movement' was presented by our students, illustrating the importance of unity in the fight to preserve our planet. The assembly reached its crescendo with a rousing class action song, "Come, young citizens of the world," wherein the students brought the lyrics to life through their vibrant performance.
Brother Robert, our respected Principal, commended the students for the remarkable assembly and the profound message they conveyed on Earth Day. Junior Wing Headmistress, Mrs. Ritu Kaushal also lauded the students for their noteworthy performances.
These efforts by Class 3C serve as a testament to the school's commitment to environmental stewardship and the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals.
