The Senior School quizzing society successfully conducted the "The Senior School quizzing society successfully conducted the "Intra-Columban Open Quiz"
on the 10th of July 2024. The intra school version of St. Columbas well reputed and prestigious annual national level Quiz competition was a brain teasing and unforgettable learning experience for the participants. A diverse variety of curious learners took part in the event all the way from class VI to XII with an astounding 120 teams taking part in total where
70 teams took part from the middle school, comprising of students from classes VI-X and 50 teams from the senior school, comprising of Students from class XI & XII.
As the quiz was a break from direct and rote learning based questions, it was a unique learning experience for the junior participants because every question had a story embedded within it and they were entrusted with the critical task of extracting the answer from within every question, significantly boosting the critical thinking skills of the participants as this laid the foundation by challenging their young minds, further promoting the creation of new and enthusiastic quizzers to represent the school on multiple levels in the near future.
This event was conducted by hardworking and highly experienced Columban Alumni who were avid quizzers themselves, during their days in Columba's and are still in touch with the world of quizzing, perfectly balancing it with their higher education and professional pursuits. 21 teams qualified into the Inter Columban Open quiz scheduled to be held on the 26th & 27th of July 2024 which will be conducted by Prominent Quiz master Major Chandrakant Nair.
